There are several motives why people strive to gain impactful innovation. From a bunch of money, eternal prosperity, and to be remember by history. Hence, many institution competing to give an award for the change makers. One of the prestigious honor is Nobel Prize, awarded to “those who, during the preceding year, have conferred the greatest benefit to humankind.” There are five fields cover up by its award; Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, and Peace. And the International Conference on Battery for Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles (ICB-REV) 2021 proudly presented the stage of honor for Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry 2019; Prof. John B. Goodenough, Prof. Stanley Whittingham, and Prof. Akira Yoshino. However, due to the limit time and health consideration, they can’t involve in live session.
The session has moderated by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Evvy Kartini. She is a living witness, who met Prof. John B. Goodenough at International Conference on Solid State Ionics (ISSI) Keystone, Colorado, United States on June, 2015. Prof. Evvy delivered many inspiring message from Prof. Goodenough to inflate the great spirit for battery technology quest. It is nice to be noticed, writ large. Although Prof. Goodenough has a near century of life, he still passionates for moving forwards; Liberating society from fossil fuels, harvesting electric power from solar and wind energy, electricity storage as chemical energy, and affordable safe battery technologies.
