Reducing Carbon Emission with Battery

Nowadays, transportation becomes one of the big supplier for carbon emission. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agencies, transportation contributing 29% of US carbon emissions. Electric vehicles have the potential to reduce those emissions, provided by the electricity grid that supports them is powered by a low-carbon ecosystem. Besides, the battery will lead to the development of sustainable energy after electricity conversion. On the word of Ram Ramachander, Chief Digital Officer for Social Innovation Business Hitachi Europe stated that battery facilitates the integration of intermittent renewable energy sources. It also drives mass-market adoption of residential storage beyond 2020.

Furthermore, electricity grids that incorporate storage from renewable resources effectively cut carbon dioxide emissions more than systems that simply increase renewable sourced power. Because it helps to ensure grid stability and supports the wider deployment of renewable energy that essential for reducing carbon emissions. Also, battery as backup generators can increase resilience for homes and business, particularly as climate change brings more extreme weather and greater potential for power loss. The evidence for this condition ever happens in California during the precautionary blackouts. Therefore, it is essential for human to involve in reducing carbon emission with battery.
