From Vision to Reality

The most prominent modal to enhance the world development is a bright vision. Once vision exists on our hand, the real action is needed. This message comes up on the afternoon session of International Conference on Battery for Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles (ICB-REV) June 22nd, 2021. The stage of opening remark was belong to Prof. Colin Gareth Bailey as president and principal of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), United Kingdom. However, due to circumstance, Prof. Alan J Drew represented him.

Prof. Alan presented about the strategic collaboration between United Kingdom and Indonesia on the world of research. He mentioned the memorable meeting with Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Evvy Kartini as president of Material Research Society (MRS) Indonesia. Both of them have a same vision in terms of research and development, specifically on energy storage. Hence, National Battery Research Institute was born as yield of cooperation between QMUL and MRS-INA with financially support from Grand Challenge Research Fund (GCRF). For transforming a vision to reality, we should be able to translate the vision into action. By developing measurable objectives and creating short-term action plans. Then, aligning the strong team and motivate them frequently to reach the noble goal. Of course, it will take a long time journey and need a robust vision to face the momentum. At the end, the big transformation always starts from a small step with a bright vision. For further, kindly access the on demand video through this link: https://youtu.be/wXXGL8pj8xU
