South Tangerang, September 23, 2022 – The “Electrification Workshop” was held on September 23, 2022 bringing together more than 2000 staff from PT Komatsu Indonesia to learn about the future of heavy equipment technology. This workshop was organized by PT Komatsu Indonesia in collaboration with the National Battery Research Institute.
The workshop was given by Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Evvy Kartini, the founder of the National Battery Research Institute, shares her knowledge on the importance of electrifying heavy equipment to adapt the future market. “Sure we have to face the challenge on the heavy equipment electrification such as battery power problem, high cost of implementation, etc. Although this revolution is inevitable and we need to adapt.”
The workshop aimed to deliver the message about the electrification of heavy equipment to all the staff of PT Komatsu Indonesia. Through these activities, participants were expected to get a better understanding of the massive shift in the technology sector toward the world Net Zero Emission plan.
The “Electrification Workshop” is organized by PT Komatsu Indonesia as part of their 40th Anniversary celebration. The celebration was held at Plaza Inspirasi attended by the President Commissioner, Board of Directors, Union leaders (SPSI), and several employee representatives from each plant.
Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Evvy Kartini, the founder of the National Battery Research Institute, said, “National Battery Research Institute has been working together with PT Komatsu Indonesia on the electrification agenda for the last 3 years. It is great to have a long-standing partnership with PT Komatsu Indonesia that shared the same vision of making a better future for our new generation.
