South Tangerang – NBRI team leady by Prof. Evvy Kartini conducted discussion with Katalitika on Wednesday April 14,2021. On this occasion Katalitika lead by Ms. Imelda and followed by Mr. Antya, Mr. Anggoro, and Mr. Rival. The discussion opened with casual talks in welcoming both parties and continued with explanation and brainstorming from both parties.
Prof. Evvy explains the main idea on how the NBRI are formed as a platform for battery consortium. She also reaffirmed the importance for Indonesia to have standardization for batteries and battery testing facilities to protect consumers and the need for research and development in Indonesia to be upgraded so that research and innovation is more optimal. Prof. Evvy also has a goal NBRI to be a platform to empower and scale-up all communities with various backgrounds from Vocation, Fresh Graduate, and Early Career Researcher who put interest in battery research and renewable energy.
In line with Prof. Evvy Kartini, Mr. Firman (NBRI) also hopes that Indonesia will be able to be equal with other countries that really pay deep attention to the progress of research in renewable energy. Especially, Indonesia has the largest nickel resources making Indonesia capable to become a reliable battery manufacturer. This also needs to be supported both in terms of funds and policy basis.
Mr. Antya (Katalitika) supports NBRI vision and underscores Katalitika’s role perhaps might enable NBRI to accelerate its milestones. Katalitika can offer various concepts in order to make NBRI bigger and its roles can be perceived by the public. Mr Anggoro (Katalitika) also stresses the importance in formulating collective awareness, mainstreaming Centre of Excellence and strategic communication for the public.
In closing, both parties find common interest and express their hope for further discussion.
