NBRI has successfully held the International Conference on Advanced Materials and Technology

The challenge of having environmentally friendly materials is one of the best ways to support the Sustainable Development Goals. The urge to be able to integrate the Industrial Revolution 4.0 of the Materials industry in terms of the circular economy. Based on full awareness to support the creation of materials that have economic sustainability, the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) Material Research Society Indonesia (MRS-INA), the International Union of Material Research Societies (IUMRS) are moved to contribute to the advancement of the material industry in Indonesia.
NBRI and MRS-INA are platforms that bring together scientists, academics, industry partners, governments, and all stakeholders focused on battery technology and renewable energy. Since its inception, NBRI has conducted 212 activities with a total of 6145 participants from 30 countries. One of the prestigious programs is the International Conference on Advanced Materials and Technology 2021 (ICAMT 2021).

The main interests of ICAMT 2021 are focused on advanced materials technology of advanced structural and functional materials, nanoscience technology, materials processing, nuclear technology applications, materials for energy applications, and others. This conference invited experts from more than 16 countries and participants from all over the world. It is hoped that ICAMT 2021 can provide outputs and outcomes that are beneficial for all parties. Thus, the world's target on sustainable development goals, towards the industrial revolution 4.0 through a circular economy will be successfully achieved.

In presenting the latest status on advanced material technology, Sustainable Development Goals, and the Circular Economy, ICAMT 2021 will be attended by Dr. Ir. Taufik Bawazier, M. Si. (Director General of ILMATE Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia), Prof. B. V. R. Chowdari (Regional Director of IUMRS), Prof. Rodrigo Martins (President of IUMRS and European Academy of Science (EurASc)), Dr. Ir. Ridwan Djamaluddin, M.Sc. (Director General of MINERBA, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources), etc.

ICAMT 2021 which is also sponsored by the International Union Materials Research Societies, Materials Research Societies Thailand, and PT. Surveyor Indonesia Persero is the culmination after previously NBRI also held an International Workshop on Solar Rooftop Residential and Utilities Scale, International School of Battery in Electric Vehicle, International Workshop on Materials and Advanced Characterization. ICAMT 2021 is an event for the Government, Researchers, Industry, Millennials, and all groups of people who have an interest in Materials for Sustainable Development Goals and the Circular Economy. The participants had the opportunity not only to listen, but also to present their ideas, and to register their papers in international journals.

It is an honor for NBRI and MRS-INA to be able to contribute in voicing the importance of knowledge about the role of Materials as the key to achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), understandable by all circles of society and get support from the Industrial sector, our partners at home and abroad, as well as government. The establishment of a constructive dialogue is expected to be a means of transferring knowledge, especially for Indonesia in strengthening the battery sector. We also hope that through ICAMT 2021 all participants gain an understanding of how Materials play an important role in many aspects of the industry from upstream to downstream as well as the importance of materials to achieve the Industrial Revolution 4.0, important for a circular economy.
