Youth Ideas Competition 2022 is a series of competitions organized by the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI-YIC 2022) that consists of two types of competitions, including paper and microblog. This competition is the second event after being successfully held in December 2021, and this year it will be part of the International Conference on Battery for Renewable Energy and Electric Vehicles (ICB-REV) 2022. NBRI-YIC 2022 aims to be a forum for participants to share their ideas and innovation related to the theme of "Accelerating global energy transition agenda through revolutionary battery technology, renewable energy, and electric vehicles" at the international level.

Paper Competition

NBRI-YIC 2022 Paper Competition is a competition that challenges the participants to do scientific research to create a proper paper with excellence in writing skills and analytical thinking related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Scopes

  • Advanced battery technology from upstream (raw materials), midstream (cell fabrication), and downstream (applications and recycling)
  • Energy storage technology for renewable energies (solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, etc.)
  • Electric vehicles ecosystem (battery, electric motor, charging station, etc.)
  • Other related topics (policy, regulation, standardization, industry, etc.)

Microblog Competition

NBRI-YIC 2022 Microblog Competition is a competition that challenges the participants to spread awareness to create a creative design with excellence in delivering attractive and accurate information related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Scopes

  • Technology for battery and energy storage (materials, methods, system, etc.)
  • Role of renewable energy and electric vehicles (potential, importance, etc.)
  • Progress of decarbonization and energy transition (policy, regulations, standardization, etc.)
  • Concept of green economy and climate change issue (business, industry, investment, prospective, etc.)
  • Multidisciplinary studies for the energy sector (artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)

Information

  • Open to both Indonesian and International participants.
  • For active students (diploma/bachelor) or fresh graduates (within 1 year).
  • Team consists of 2 - 3 people for paper or 2 people for microblog.
